Falcon Cap College destined for greater heights

By Business Reporter

ZIMBABWE’s Falcon Cap College continue to grow, create value over the long term and operate in an ethical, transparent way through mutual beneficial partnerships with its staff, stakeholders and parents.

In the past four years after its establishment, the college has grown from strength to strength due to unity, commitment and good mutual understanding between its principal and staff that has enabled the college teaching staff not to engage in the recent teachers’ strike that went nationwide.

The principal Mr Shingirai Kaswaurere yesterday said that the college staff did not participate in the strike because the qualified teaching staff developed good working relations that have enabled the staff to receive better salaries every month.

”We pay our teaching staff well time and again, whenever challenges arise we discuss,” said Mr Kaswaurere.

The principal also said that despite challenges faced by the college particularly lack of land to build college, the college with its experience teaching staff continue to rent one of the buildings situated in the industrial site of Chinhoyi until they acquire land from the responsible local authority, Chinhoyi municipality.

”We applied for land to council so that we can build the college to carter for the ever-rising students enrollment and we are waiting for council’s response,” added Mr Kaswaurere.

The principal is a University of Zimbabwe (UZ) graduate with degree in Politics and Administration acquired in 2004 and a degree in Public Administration obtained in 2006, also from the same university.

He also holds several diplomas which include; diploma in Public Administration with University of Zimbabwe, diploma in Public Relations, diploma in Public Finance among others.

The principal is also endowed with working experience after having worked for Zvimba Rural District Council as a human resources and administrator for 17 years. He also worked for Hwedza Rural District Council as chief executive officer as well as Riverflow Energy manager.

In educational sector working experience, the principal once headed Harare based Bradford College as headmaster and People’s Education College as a headmaster as well.

With the continued working unity between the principal, office staff and teaching staff Falcon Cap College is undoubtedly destined for greater heights.
