CHEGUTU based hip hop artist Showboy has urged fellow artists to shun drug abuse and consider artistic work seriously since it has a positive bearing in life.
The artist said that upcoming artists and recognized ones should take musical careers as platforms of communicating anti-drug abuse messages for the benefit of the community.
According to the artist there is rampant drug abuse in society and artists must play a pivotal role in championing anti-drug abuse programs.
”Artistic world must lead by example by being at the forefront of championing anti-drug abuse messages to the community but not found fueling drug abuse,” said the musician.
Another artist Dany Bwanya also known as ‘tracker’, a Karoi based artist also said that artists must shun the use of drugs and avoid fueling it in society.
He said drug abuse was on the rise and has destroyed the youths’ future musical careers.
